Trust and child-safety
Trust is our foundation. We protect children and their data by design, with plain-language policies, verifiable parental consent, and a competition that is fair to contest.

Child-safety first
Safe for children, by design
Child-safety is not a setting we switch on - it is the default that shapes every product decision. A child never registers alone, a verified parent or school controls every account, and you decide what is ever shown publicly.
Data is minimised, never sold, and never used for advertising, and you can review, correct, or delete it at any time from your parent account.

How we earn your trust
Six commitments that keep young participants and their data safe.
Aligned with global law
Designed around India's DPDP Act, the GDPR's child provisions (GDPR-K), and the US COPPA.
Verifiable parental consent
A child never registers alone. A verified parent or school creates and controls every participant account.
No ads, no profiling
We never show behavioural advertising to children, never build ad profiles, and never sell personal data.
Data minimisation
We collect only what the olympiad needs, and delete or anonymise data when it is no longer required.
Verifiable certificates
Every credential carries a unique ID that anyone - a school, a parent, a university - can confirm in seconds.
Security by design
Encryption in transit, strict access controls, and least-privilege practices, reviewed continuously.
Compliance by jurisdiction
Child-data compliance is a launch requirement, not a footnote - and it travels with us into every market.
India
Verifiable parental consent for processing children's data, and strict data minimisation.
EU / UK
Age-of-consent rules, parental consent, and strong data-handling rights.
United States
Verifiable parental consent for under-13s and clear privacy disclosures.
Other markets
Region-aware child-data and education-data rules, applied per expansion market.
This describes our posture and is not legal advice; mechanics are confirmed with qualified counsel in each market.
Integrity that matches the stakes
Rigor is concentrated where it certifies value; the base stays friendly for young learners.
- 1
Foundation & Explorer
Honor code plus statistical anomaly detection. Treated as formative - light-touch and friendly for younger learners.
- 2
Innovator qualifiers
Anomaly detection, randomized items per student, and optional lightweight browser lockdown.
- 3
National Rounds
Stronger controls, item randomization, and review of statistical outliers before promotion.
- 4
World Championship
Full integrity investment: live, supervised, project-based evaluation through partner schools or invigilated centres.
Fair to contest
A ranked competition for children must be fair to challenge. Every score, rank, and integrity flag can be contested through a defined, transparent process surfaced in the parent and school portals.
- A fixed window (for example, 7 days) to raise a query on a score, rank, or flag.
- Tiered review: an automated re-check, then human review, then an escalation panel.
- A student is treated as honest until a flag is substantiated by a human reviewer.
- Every query, decision, and outcome is logged for audit.
Frequently asked questions
The safety and data questions parents and schools ask most.
Do you sell or share my child's data?
Never. Data is minimised to only what the olympiad needs, is never sold, and is never used for behavioural advertising. There is no open chat and no profiling of children.
Do you use webcam proctoring on young children?
No. Integrity is tiered to the stakes: Foundation and Explorer rounds use a friendly honor code plus statistical anomaly detection, not webcams. Full supervision applies only at the World Championship final.
How do I access, correct, or delete my child's data?
You are in control from your parent account. You can review, correct, or delete your child's data at any time, and request a data export, in line with DPDP, GDPR-K, and COPPA rights.
Is WTO compliant with COPPA, GDPR-K, and DPDP?
WTO is designed around all three from the start, with verifiable parental consent and region-aware data handling. This describes our posture and is not legal advice; specific mechanics are confirmed with qualified counsel in each market.
How do I contest a result or an integrity flag?
Every score, rank, and flag can be contested through a defined, transparent process in the parent and school portals: a fixed window to raise a query, tiered review from automated re-check to human review to an escalation panel, and a presumption that a student is honest until a flag is substantiated.
